What are Polish tongue twisters?


For many people all Polish words sound like tongue twisters, but have a look, there are words even more difficult that you could ever imagine. I have included mp3s with pronunciation for all sentences with English translation.

 

The most common tongtwisters are:

 

1. W Szczebrzeszynie chrząszcz brzmi w trzcinie = In the town of Szczebrzeszyn a beetle buzzes in the reeds.

6. Jola lojalna, nielojalna Jola. = Loyal Jola (female name), disloyal Jola.

8. Konstantynopolitańczykiewiczówna. = Daughter of a man from Constantinople.
